ARTIST STATEMENT: |

Stan Beckman began his career as a watercolorist, but in 1972 he changed over to
acrylics on canvas done in a somewhat watercolor look. The style |
is known as photorealism. The average painting took him three weeks to complete.
The subject matter of his earlier works were of European street scenes, |
but his final works were basically still lifes. |
